Terms of Use

Welcome! These terms govern your use of the H2O Catering meal-ordering service. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. We've kept them short and in plain language.

1. The service

H2O Catering ("H2O," "we," "us") prepares and delivers meals to the schools and organizations shown in your account. This website lets you order and pay for those meals.

2. Your account

• You must be 18 or older to create an account.
• Keep your information accurate — especially your children's details and allergy notes (see section 6).
• Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account.

3. Ordering & deadlines

Each school sets its own ordering deadline, shown on the menu calendar. Orders can only be placed while ordering is open. Some schools allow last-minute orders after the normal deadline for an additional fee, shown before you pay. Menus may occasionally change; if an item becomes unavailable we may substitute a comparable item or credit your account.

4. Prices & payment

All prices are shown in US dollars and already include applicable Virginia sales tax and card-processing costs — the price you see is the price you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. By placing an order you authorize the corresponding charge. Any account credit on your balance is applied first, and your card is charged only the remainder.

5. Cancellations, credits & refunds

• We do not issue cash or card refunds.
• Orders canceled before your school's cancellation deadline receive full account credit, applied automatically to your next order.
• After the deadline, the meal has gone into production and cannot be credited.
• Account credit (including purchased top-ups) has no cash value, is non-transferable, and can only be used for orders on this service.
• We may, at our discretion, issue additional credits or refunds in exceptional situations (for example, if we make a mistake with your order).

6. Allergies & food safety

We take allergies seriously: allergy notes travel with every order and are printed for our kitchen. However, our meals are prepared in a kitchen that handles common allergens (including milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and sesame), and despite careful handling, cross-contact is possible. We cannot guarantee any meal is completely free of an allergen. You are responsible for keeping your child's allergy and dietary information accurate and up to date. If your child has a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service — no false information, no attempts to access other people's data, no interfering with the service's operation. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; if we make meaningful changes we'll update the date above and let you know through the service. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
